Living a healthy lifestyle and losing weight doesn’t have to break the bank.

Yes, there are several special gadgets, coaching services, supplements, books, and special foods that can cost you a pretty penny. Maybe someday you’ll get into all that.

But as of today, you’re looking to live a healthy lifestyle and lose weight on a reasonable amount of coin that matches your budget.

Or you’ve seen some prices and heard some things about how expensive healthy living can be. It doesn’t have to be.

I’ve got 5 simple ways I’ve been living healthy on a budget you can also easily implement to live healthy on a budget as well.

Eat a diet that supports eating less food, less frequently

There are several diets out there.

Some of them require that you eat six times a day, three meals and three snacks, while some require that you eat one to three meals a day.

Some diets require special ingredients, supplements, special recipes, meal replacement shakes, protein powders, and shaker bottles. Then there are diets where you stick to simple meals of simple, affordable foods.

From my personal experience of giving damn near all of them a try, the simplest, most affordable and most effective diet has been eating a simple clean keto diet or a primarily carnivore diet with intermittent fasting. And I’m not just saying that because I’ve done it. (Intermittent Fasting for Weight Loss: How I lost 45-lbs in 4 months the easy way)

Switching between eating clean keto and carnivore has been simple AF and cheap when I’ve compared it to eating clean with other diets.

My grocery list on most weeks consists of grass-fed beef, water, sparkling water, eggs, and grass-fed butter. And although grass-fed beef costs more, I have the money to spend more on it because I’m not spending money on vegetables, low-carb fruits, and the other keto foods I used to buy.

Eating clean keto and primarily carnivore has also decreased my appetite and fixed my cravings. I’m eating much less food and I feel better. I’m not forcing myself to cut back.

Eating a simple diet that provides enough nutrients, fats, and protein to support a healthy appetite has proven to be an effective way to live healthy and lose weight on a budget.

Use home workout routines from YouTube

I didn’t know YouTube had such a crazy collection of full workouts until a couple of years ago.

There is plenty!

You can find home workouts for cardio, abs, full-body, booty, arms, anything. They’ve got HIIT workouts, dance workouts, step workouts, and weight lifting workouts. I’m sure you’ll find something you like.

I’ve found channels on YouTube that do reggae workouts and channels that’ll take you through an entire exercise, body-shaping challenge.

Buy in bulk

Does this really need explaining?

I personally like to buy in bulk when the bulk is on sale, but you usually save anytime you can buy in bulk.

Right now, my favorite things to buy in bulk are bones and organ meat when they’re on sale. Sometimes I’ll catch a good sale on eggs.

To preserve what you buy and bulk, cook and freeze it or freeze it to cook it for later.

This is another way going primarily carnivore has saved me money. Anything I buy in bulk can be frozen for a VERY long time.

Buy more when there’s a sell

I save money on eggs, grass-fed beef, and butter when I buy more during a sale. And since I’m not buying vegetables, fruits, or any food that’ll go bad, I don’t have to worry about wasting food.

I buy a lot and then freeze it for later. Eggs and butter don’t need freezing.

Saving a lot and eating plenty of high-quality, nutrient-dense foods.

It’s a good way to save.

Meal plan, shop, and meal prep weekly

Lastly, I’ve saved so much money planning, shopping and meal prepping weekly.

I save money knowing exactly how much I need to eat for the week, how much I need to buy at the store, and

preparing meals that limit snacking and eating extra food.

Before taking on this weekly routine, I was throwing out a lot of food, wasting money and wasting food. Meal planning, shopping, and prepping can save you plenty by helping you be prepared and know how much you actually need for food. (How to Write a Keto Diet Meal Plan in 3 Simple Steps)
